This new update of Splendor also introduces a complete new game mode: Duels. Duels are Challenges that you play against an AI. So like any Challenge you have some specific goals to achieve with some rules tweaks, but at the same time you play against an AI just like in a regular two-player game. The AI is impersonated by an historical character. The update provides two Duels, one against the Emperor Charles V and another one against Mary Stuart. The London pack introduces a new Challenge mode, which involves capturing a specific combination of card colors on the board.
In terms of difficulties, the London pack is more difficult than any of the previous packs that released in Splendor. Time constraints are high and one of the challenge is even limited in its number of turns.
1.1.3 Dec 7, 2015. Negrafina I play this all the time and I love it. Hubby bought the board game and then told me there was an app. I like all of the challenges and the achievements you can go after. Just noticed two glitches back to back. Had to resign from a two-player v AI game because it didn’t put out a fourth blue card for the market. I restarted the game and it didn’t correct the mistake, Hence I resigned.
During the very next game I wanted to buy a card and I could more than afford it, but it wouldn’t highlight the card to purchase it. If I touched it to purchase it I would have to take a yellow chip to reserve it. I still won the game, but that problem has made me wonder how many times that has happened in the app before and may have changed the outcome of the game. I have screen shots to prove both situations. Great job on everything else.:).

Great job on everything else.:). Paulstonkus I have never tried online play. Play regularly with another in person or against AI for two or four. Many times when there are only two color chips available, including four chips of one color and less chips of another color, it won't let you take one of each color. You must take two of the one color of which there are four only.

A second glitch is that if playing live with another person and two AI players and you tap the player to see what they're holding, the live names get screwed up and move to other players. Third glitch is that when you want to reserve, if you pull card straight down instead of to the right, where RESERVE appears as an option, when you actually have enough chips to purchase but WANT to reserve instead to get the wild chip, it purchases without asking you what you want to do.
Otherwise love the game. I prefer actual board play, but am happy to have this option. I have never tried online play. Play regularly with another in person or against AI for two or four.

Roclaf I wasn't sure about this game, since it was getting some negative reviews for crashing and bugs, but I haven't experienced that at all. I'm running it on an ipad air 2. Also, one reviewer complained about not getting a final chance even when he went before the ai when the ai got 15.
The online pdf rulebook states that each player gets the same number of turns, so you wouldn't get an extra turn to try and catch him in that situation. Now, maybe the rulebook has been revised, but this app runs exactly as per the current rulebook pdf.
